Modal Cotton Head Wrap for Daytime Coverage

A long rectangle of soft modal-cotton jersey, 170cm by 60cm, for covering your head during the day. Jersey has a little give in it, which is why it stays put once tied where a slippery scarf will not.

This is a length of fabric, not a hat

Say that plainly, because the photographs make it look effortless and it is not, the first time. There is no pre-tied shape and no elastic. You wrap it and knot it yourself, and it takes a few goes in front of a mirror before it looks like the pictures. Once it clicks it takes about twenty seconds. If you want something you pull on and leave, buy a cap instead.

Why jersey and not silk

On a bare or tender scalp, silk slides and cotton jersey grips. It also breathes, which matters if you are wearing it all day. It is not the most luxurious fabric we could have chosen — it is the one that stays on.
